Hours:

  • Full Time
  • Our offices are open from Monday-Friday 7am-8pm. You may need to work a little earlier/later as needed.

FORMAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for supporting all administrative activities and assistance, including managers and Doctors in our practice. The Specialist is responsible for the coordination of events and works with other departments to support ongoing operations and help ensure the departments operate in a high-quality, professional manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  •  

    1.            Process accounts receivables (A/R) for the Optical Shop.
    2.            Process accounts payables (A/P) for the Optical Shop.
    3.            Order all contact lens stock and patient orders.
    4.            Process all contact lens orders.
    5.            Process all contact lens returns.
    6.            File all applicable Medicare forms for payment.
    7.            Frequently check status of Medicare claims to ensure prompt patient payment.
    8.            File all applicable Superior insurance forms for payment.
    9.            File all applicable VSP insurance forms for payment.
    10.         File all applicable Eyemed insurance forms for payment.
    11.         File all applicable Spectera insurance forms for payment.
    12.         Update and process all Optical Shop inventory upon receipt.
    13.         Help with Design and setup Optical Shop product displays.
    14.         Act as a stand in for any front desk personnel on a needs basis.
    15.        Help Patient's with ordering glasses or contacts. 
    16.         Answer phones when front desk is busy
    17.         All other duties as assigned.
     
     

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Favorable result on Background Check
  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous medical office experience preferred
  • Previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
