Welcome
Dr. Kiblinger
EyeCare Associates is eager to
introduce you to its newest member, Greg
Kiblinger, MD. A native Texan from
Arlington, Dr. Kiblinger graduated summa
cum laude from The University of Texas at
Austin in 1995 with a BBA in accounting.
Always eager for unique experiences, Dr.
Kiblinger spent the next year prior to
medical school working at a mission
hospital in the Congo River Basin in
Africa. He graduated from the University
of Texas Southwest Medical School in
Dallas in 2000 and was elected to the
Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor
society. He then completed an Internship
and Residency at UT-Southwestern in
Internal Medicine and remained on staff at
the Dallas VA Medical Center for a year. This was followed
by a trip north of the
Red River to finish an Ophthalmology Residency at the
Dean A. McGee Eye
Institute in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Kiblinger moved to Tyler this summer and is eager
to join alongside the
current physicians of EyeCare Associates in providing
the highest level of
ophthalmic care to the people of East Texas. He will
practice comprehensive
ophthalmology, caring for medical and surgical disorders
of the eye.
Dr. Kiblinger says that his greatest honor has been sharing
the last seven years
with his wife Lee. They have three little ones at home-
Ben (4), Lauren (2), and
Nathan (5 months). While keeping them very busy and providing
many sleepless nights, they truly are a blessing from
the Lord.
His family and work responsibilities limit
his time for personal interests, but
he enjoys reading and running as well as hunting
and fly fishing. He is also
committed to sharing his medical experience and
in addition to his time in Africa
has been on numerous medical trips to Mexico, the
Philippines, and most recently
the Szichuan province of China.
EyeCare Associates is excited to welcome Dr. Kiblinger
and his family to
Tyler and look forward to many years together
serving our community.
Good Luck Dr. Pinkenburg
To my patients,
It is difficult to believe that it has been
over 44 years since I entered Baylor
College of Medicine to embark upon my
medical career. What a wonderful journey
it has been!
We chose Tyler over 33 years ago and
I found a warm and welcoming
community in which to raise a family and
practice ophthalmology. I could not have
asked for a better person than Dr. Fred
Haberle to share a practice with me those
first 20 plus years.
After a lot of consideration, I decided
it was the appropriate time to cease
surgery in July and to retire from the daily
active practice of medicine at the end of 2007. I am
looking forward to having
more time with my family and spending time with my photographic
pursuits
among other hobbies and activities.
One of the great joys,
especially of the past decade, has been practicing
these
last years with an exceptional group of ophthalmologists,
giving the highest level
of medical and surgical eye care available. It makes
it easier to retire knowing my
patients will be in excellent hands and will continue
to receive outstanding care.
Another great joy has been
you, my patients. You are special people, caring
and concerned and it has been fulfilling to share this
time and journey with you. I
am grateful to you for all that you have taught me
and for sharing a small portion
of your lives with me. Providing your care has truly
been a gift and highly
rewarding for me.
